11. Eligibility

A set of criteria set forth by a grant making agency to weigh whether a grant seeker should be given funding or not.

12. Financial aid

this refers to funding intended to help students pay tuition or other costs, such as room and board, for education at a college, university, or private school.

13. Formula grants

provide funds as dictated by law.

14. Foundation

is a type of philanthropic organization set up by either individuals or institutions as a legal entity (either as a corporation or trust) with the purpose of distributing grants to support causes in line with the goals of the foundation.

15. Grant

This is money given to an individual or an organization that does not hold an obligation of repayment.

16. Grantee

a recipient of the grant money or funding assistance. This can be a person, organization, educational institution, district, etc.

17. Grant making agency

government, public or private foundations providing grants to individuals or organizations.

18. Grant seeker

a person, a group or organization applying for a grant.

19. General purpose grants

are more broad-based support given to organizations to cover its major and minor projects or programs.

20. Government grants
